Lizzo Suggests as ‘a Major Black Woman’ Her Fashion Style is ‘Politicized’ [VIDEO]

“I feel no one would have ever saw what I was carrying, like the back of it, if I didn’t get up and dance,” she recalled. “The Laker girls arrived up to me and claimed, ‘We’re so energized that you are below, we want to conduct a person of your tracks for you.’ And I remember I was sitting there and I was with my manager and my close friend and they have been like, ‘You really should get up and dance, they’re accomplishing this for you,’ and I was like, ‘Alright.’ ”

“So I bought up and just did what I often do. Any individual who is familiar with me is familiar with this is how I’ve generally been, this is how I have always liked to gown,” she added, just before noting that “contrary to well-liked belief” she was not just putting on a thong beneath the gown.

The singer mentioned, “I experienced on levels down there, so it wasn’t just flesh to seats.”

In the meantime, Lizzo tells Vogue that she’s “so grateful to be a section of shifting the dialogue in trend ahead for greater bodies and Black women of all ages.”
