With spring on its way, there has been a noticeable change in the varieties of manicures that I have noticed on Instagram currently. Absent are the neutral colors and basic shades that all the chicest girls ended up stepping out in before this year and in their place, a riot of cute nail art and coral hues. As anyone that often has a saved folder which is bursting with nail styles, I have to say that I am thrilled with this change to embrace colour and pattern for the year ahead. That currently being reported, I am well conscious that checkerboard nails and rainbow manis aren’t for anyone, which is why I am so enthusiastic about this rising nail trend which I consider even nail art cynics will adore: the colourful French-suggestion manicure.
Embracing all of the fundamentals of the timeless French mani (glossy finishes, beautifully groomed nail beds and a neutral foundation), this contemporary twist sees those classic white recommendations given a colourful makeover. I 1st spotted manicurist Harriet Westmoreland experimenting with guidelines slicked with shades of tender apricot or very lilac on her clientele and since then have viewed the coolest girls sharing every thing from cerulean blue-topped manicures to mix-and-match tips. Let’s just say I’m entirely obsessed.
